gallagher

Noel and Liam Gallagher were not supposed to be here. Truants who attend school just long enough to get a detention or suspension do not typically rise from a Burnage bedsit to a Hampstead mansion. Apparently someone forgot to tell the Gallaghers. Or maybe they didn’t forget. Oasis skyrocketed to the top of the charts, fueled by a desire to stick it to as many elitists as possible. Their rise was eclipsed in magnitude only by the fall from grace that followed. An implosion that saw the band members become the same rich snobs they previously sought to undermine. In the wreckage of their band (and consequently their relationship), the Gallaghers left behind an autobiographical account: their music. Their desire to escape their hardscrabble beginnings. Their inability to handle the consequences that accompanied getting exactly what they dreamed of. But for a moment, they felt infinite.
